'Does Anyone Know Why Walgreens In Shorewood Is Temporarily Closed?'

On Saturday night, a small portion of the Shorewood business sustained damage when someone's vehicle struck the building.

Someone drove their vehicle into the west wall of the Shorewood Walgreens on Saturday night. The car did not go into the building, but it did cause some building damage.

SHOREWOOD, IL — People in the Shorewood Talk of the Town Facebook page are wondering why the Shorewood Walgreens store is closed on Sunday. Actually, the drive-up pharmacy portion of the store remains open. But on Saturday night, Joliet Patch responded to the scene to find damage — a portion of the west wall of the building along the main parking lot. Someone's vehicle damaged a portion of the wall, but their vehicle did not go into the building. The vehicle was in the parking lot when Patch arrived on the scene and spoke with Troy firefighters.

"Someone hit the side of the building causing extensive damage. Pharmacy drive-thru will remain open though," one person posted in the Shorewood Talk of the Town Facebook page, sharing a photo taken from the inside of the Walgreens store, showing one of the cosmetics shelves knocked out of the place because of the car's damage.
