Mokena Man Strikes Pedestrian then Crashes into Vehicle Near Joliet
The pedestrian was critically injured.

MOKENA, IL — The driver of a car that struck a man Friday morning in Mokena and then a vehicle near Joliet has been charged with DUI, Mokena police said Friday afternoon.
The driver, 21-year-old Cody Fenn of the 11300 block of 193rd Street, fled the scene in the 11200 block of 193rd Street after hitting the other man around 3:30 a.m., said Mokena Police Chief Steve Vaccaro. He is charged with aggravated DUI and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
The Illinois State Police told the Daily Southtown that after fleeing the scene, Fenn hit a vehicle on westbound I-80 near Joliet at around 3:45 a.m. and was then taken into custody. The driver of the struck vehicle was brought to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The victim — a 20-year-old man — was transported by the Mokena Fire Protection District to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox for treatment of severe injuries sustained in the crash. He was transferred to and remains at Loyola Hospital in Maywood for more intensive treatment of his injuries.
Fenn was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility pending a bond hearing on Saturday, Sept. 10.
