The 8 p.m. incident near the corner of Benton and McRoberts streets was the third run-in with the cops for 44-year-old Derrick Cole on Thursday, police said. He had allegedly been in a pair of fights earlier in the day but emerged without criminal charges.

Cole’s luck ran out when he was spotted trying to make his way down the street but was having trouble because he was “very intoxicated,” police said. He allegedly cursed at two officers before he pushing away the hand of one of them.
