Enter Shorewood Crossroads Festival Baby Contest

SHOREWOOD, IL - Some lucky baby will have a chance to win a $500 deposit in a Bright Directions College Savings just by entering the annual Shorewood Crossroads Festival Baby Contest. The event is sponsored by Guaranteed Rate and presented by Diane Lambert and Donna Leonard of Coldwell Banker The Real Estate Group. The contest is held in conjunction with the annual Shorewood Crossroads Festival Aug. 3-5 at Cene's Four Seasons Park and is open to children who will be younger than 4 on Aug. 1.

There is a $10 entry fee per child but it drops to $5 for each additional child. Checks should be made payable to Shorewood Area Chamber of Commerce (SACC).

To enter, bring a 4-inch by 6-inch photo and completed entry form to Coldwell Banker The Real Estate Group, 925 S. Route 59, Shorewood, IL 60404 before 1 p.m. July 25.

Write the child's full name, date of birth, parents full name and daytime contact number on the back of the photo. Photos will be disqualified if they are the wrong size or missing required information. Photos must be current.

There can be only one entry per child and only one child in the photo. The photo does not have to be done by a professional photographer.

Photos will be categorized by the age of the child. There will be five finalists in each of six categories for a total of 30 finalists. Preliminary judging will be by photo only.

Finalists will be notified by phone by Saturday, July 28. Only finalists will be notified. All 30 finalists will come to the Shorewood Crossroads Festival entertainment tent 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4 for final judging.
