This all-ages kite-flying event at the Monee Reservoir will be held by the Illinois Kite Enthusiasts Club.
The event will highlight kite history, types of kites and the science behind the art of kite flying. Birds and kites will be compared by viewing live raptors.
It will include a kite and air exhibit; kite flying demonstration; a craft area; giveaways; kites for sale; and activities highlighting air quality and the science behind air.

Attendees will be able to complete a kite quiz and enter to win kite prizes.
