Timbers goes country western with singer Christine Stapleton

Country western singer Christine Stapleton will entertain her audience, performing classic songs by Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn and Tammy Wynette, among others, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, at The Timbers of Shorewood, 1100 N. River Rd. This event is free and open to the public.

Stapleton began singing 19 years ago at an office Christmas party. After her debut karaoke performance, where she sang Patsy Cline’s “Crazy,” she continued singing karaoke for several years. A professional singer for the past six years, Stapleton has performed at the Grundy County Fair, the Grundy County Speedway and the Embassy Care Center in Wilmington. Stapleton and her husband, Dan, now own a karaoke business called “Krazy Karaoke.”

The Timbers of Shorewood is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments as well as a full schedule of activities and services. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay - a weekend, a week, a month or longer.
