Famous Singer to Perform at The Timbers of Shorewood

The public is invited to this free show.

Kym Frankovelgia will perform a free show at The Timbers of Shorewood on Sept. 16.

Residents and the public are invited to the 6:30 p.m. show at the 1100 N. River Road retirement community.

Frankovelgia has a powerful love and respect for the music of a bygone era — the 1920s through the ‘50s. The talented singer began her career on cruise ships and night clubs. She has performed with The Ink Spots, The Four Lads, Allison McKay and Connie Haines.

She also was a singer with the Sammy Kaye Orchestra, the Glenn Miller Band, the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, and the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra and more. Based in Hawaii for a time, Frankovelgia moved back to Illinois.

“I began working specifically for seniors, private parties, social clubs and organizations,” she said. “What seemed like a good idea at the time turned out to be a great idea.”
