Fight Outside Shorewood Bar Leaves Man with Head Lacerations
A window was broken after the victim's head "made contact" with it.

SHOREWOOD, IL — A Plainfield man has received charges of aggravated battery and criminal damage to property after a fight broke out over the weekend outside Skooter’s in Shorewood.
A fight broke out between James M. Slivka, of the 5300 block of Kingsbury Estates, and an unidentified victim early Sunday morning in the parking lot of the Shorewood Plaza where Skooter’s is located, according to Shorewood Police Deputy Chief Eric Allen.
“We got a call there at 2:26 a.m. for a male bleeding from the head,” Allen said. “We learned that there was a fight between two males.”

During the fight, the 21-year-old victim’s head “made contact” with the front window of Frosty Tips, Allen said, breaking it.
The victim was hospitalized for his injuries, but has since been released. He was treated for lacerations to his head.

Slivka has been charged in connection to the incident.
