Free Summer Ballroom Dance at the Timbers
The Del Bergeson Orchestra and vocalist Sandi Haynes will provide the music for a "Summer Ballroom Dance" at the Timbers of Shorewood.
The Del Bergeson Orchestra and vocalist Sandi Haynes will provide the music for a “Summer Ballroom Dance” from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2015, at The Timbers of Shorewood retirement community, 1100 N. River Road. The public is warmly welcome to the free event.
Members of the orchestra are 25+ year music professionals, each with a deep passion for music and entertaining. Several members are music instructors teaching at the university level.
Del Bergeson, director of the orchestra, has experience and talent. Along with playing for the Old Chicago Mall Circus Band and the Shiners Circus Band for two seasons, Bergeson played with artists Don Shire and Dave Boyer, and for 11 years, he was with Perfect Union, a ten member ensemble.

He’s performed most recently with the Jay Mau Orchestra with whom he played trombone and sang several of the Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and Sammy Davis Jr. standards.
“The Timbers’ ballroom dances are filled with quality live music and contagious energy,” said Faith Varga, executive director at The Timbers. “These events are well attended by the public, and everyone has a wonderful time.”

The Timbers of Shorewood is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Residents, whose needs may change, are able to stay in the same place and receive appropriate care.
