Check out this hot program at the Shorewood-Troy Public Library for tips on getting organized and helping the environment.
When my husband and I moved into our house, we had an old tire in our backyard. Why? We’re not sure.
We also had something like 80 bajillion old paint cans sitting in our basement. Seriously, 80 bajillion cans – I counted.
The previous owners of our house could have used a program like what the Shorewood-Troy Public Library is offering: Organizing to Be Green.

Beth Randall, who is with “Joe Organizer,” will teach homeowners the safest ways and places to dispose of toxic material.
So you don’t have any toxic material laying around your house? You probably still have lots of recyclables. If your recyclables are anything like my household’s, they can be a little unorganized. Ms. Randall will also show you how to set up a recycling system in your own home.

She will also teach you how to reuse your own items to get a little more organized around your house. If getting more organized was one of your New Year’s Resolutions, this is a program that you don’t want to miss.
