“I was 14 when I purchased my first piece — a peach silk boudoir cap,” Edgington said. “I have been searching for treasures ever since.”
Edgington doesn’t just buy old hats; her knowledge is vast. During her college years she worked in the Historic Costume Lab at the University of Wisconsin, Stout, where she learned the value of preservation and restoration. In addition, she was fortunate to work at one of Chicago's finest vintage clothing shops which had an amazing selection of evening and bridal wear, accessories and of course, amazing hats.
