Holiday Ballroom Dance
The Del Bergeson Orchestra will provide the music for a "Holiday Ballroom Dance" at the Timbers of Shorewood.

The Del Bergeson Orchestra will provide the music for a “Holiday Ballroom Dance” from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, December 17, at the Timbers of Shorewood retirement community, 1100 N. River Road.
The public is warmly welcome to dance the afternoon away at this free event.
Members of the orchestra are 25+ year music professionals, each with a deep passion for music and entertaining. Several members are music instructors teaching at the university level.

Del Bergeson, director, has experience and talent. During his school years, he was involved in directing numerous theater orchestras, and he sang as part of several vocal and swing ensemble projects. He played for the Old Chicago Mall Circus Band and the Shiners Circus Band for two seasons,
Bergeson played trombone and was a vocalist with the Jay Mau Orchestra, and he sang the Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and Sammy Davis Jr. standards.

“Everyone has a great time at our monthly ballroom dances,” said Linda McCluskey, activities director at The Timbers. “There’s a lot of good energy in the room during these events.”
The Timbers of Shorewood is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Residents, whose needs may change, are able to stay in the same place and receive appropriate care.
