Hurricane Heroes Descend Upon Holy Family School

Holy Family School Hurricane Heroes fundraiser for hurricane victims

On Friday, September 15th, a few hundred superheroes of all ages descended upon Holy Family School in Shorewood, Illinois! The school held a "Hurricane Heroes" out-of-uniform day to raise funds to help the victims of the recent hurricanes, and students were allowed to wear their favorite superhero shirts to school in exchange for a donation of $1.00 or more. There was an overwhelming response from the teachers, staff, and especially from the students and their families. Heroes abounded that day, with the Holy Family School mascot Ezekiel "Zeke" the Eagle leading the charge as his alter-ego Super Zeke. With everyone working together to promote the event, Holy Family School raised an amazing $1195.30! The entire amount is being donated to Catholic Charities, USA Disaster Relief to help the thousands of families in need. Holy Family School showed the community exactly what makes true heroes!
