Thursday

Cecil Conner a pretty chatty fellow

Cecil Conner, the Steger man convicted of causing the drunken crash that killed his girlfriend's 5-year-old son, made nearly from the county jail in the year or so he's been locked up. The only thing Lawrence Coffee stood to gain by pleading out is the chance to get out of the Morris County jail to go face felony charges elsewhere. As it is, Coffee is looking at doing at least about 100 years in prison. Plus, there's a good chance his parole is going to get revoked.

Friday

Drew Peterson wants out of jail again

The attorneys representing accused wife-killer and serial-marrier Drew Peterson are to file another motion asking for his release from jail while the appellate court considers a prosecution appeal that has held up his murder trial for nearly 10 months and counting, since all the motions they filed before to get him out of jail were so successful.
