Joe McCabe's Second Wind Blows Into The Timbers of Shorewood
The Great American Song Book will be open at The Timbers.

Joe McCabe’s Second Wind will perform music from The Great American Songbook for residents and the public at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at The Timbers of Shorewood retirement community, 1100 N. River Road.
The "Great American Songbook" refers to the vast genre that represents the best American songs of the 20th century. This style, influenced by but not tied down to the jazz and swing styles of the day, derives from Broadway theatre, musical theatre, and Hollywood musicals, from the 1920s to 1960, including dozens of songs of enduring popularity.
Joe McCabe of Lansing (vocals), Spencer Keyes of Frankfort (piano and bass), and Al Fontana of Southern Illinois (harmonica and trumpet) focus their music in jazz, swing, standards, pop and R&B, all of which are styles of music McCabe fell in love with at an early age. The band has produced a name for itself in the Midwest having learned, created, and performed music in the Chicagoland area.
