Joliet Man Attacked Gal Pal and Couple, Said They Spent His Money on Drugs: Cops
Clinton Ellis allegedly roughed up two women and knocked a man out.

A Joliet man barged into a Clinton Street apartment, roughed up his girlfriend and another woman, and knocked a man out cold for a full 15 minutes, police said.
Clinton Ellis, 45, reportedly told the cops he was upset that his 33-year-old girlfriend and a 50-year-old couple bought drugs with his money.
Officers were sent to the Clinton Street apartment shortly before 3 a.m. Friday and found Ellis’ girlfriend with a swollen lip and bleeding pinky, police said. She reportedly told officers Ellis punched her in the face and that she cut her pinky on a broken ceramic mug.

A 50-year-old woman reportedly told police she hurt her wrist when Ellis shoved her to the floor. The woman’s 50-year-old lover recalled to officers that Ellis threw a knockout punch that left him unconscious for no less than 15 minutes.
Ellis allegedly fled in his girlfriend’s 1997 Camaro. An officer spotted him driving recklessly on Eastern Avenue, police said, pulled him over, and linked him to the attack at the Clinton Street apartment.

Ellis was taken to the Will County jail. His bond was set at $100,000.
