Joliet Man Held on $1M Bond For Skipping Town With 13-Year-Old Girl: Cops
The man and the teen started a relationship while he was living with her family, police said.

A Joliet man who skipped town with a teenage girl after her mother found out about their relationship was captured and jailed on a $1 million bond, police said.
Salomon Gonzalez-Cruz, 24, was taken into custody by Oak Creek, WI, police and returned to Joliet Thursday. He faces charges of child abduction and child luring.
Gonzalez-Cruz was renting a room in the home of a Joliet woman last year and developed a relationship with her 13-year-old daughter, police said. When the mother found out about it, she reportedly told Gonzalez-Cruz he had to go. He did leave, police said, but when he departed the teen decided to come along with him.

The Joliet police reportedly traced the teen’s cell phone to a Motel 6 outside Milwaukee, contacted the cops there and had them pick up Gonzalez-Cruz. The teen was taken back to her mother.
The teenage girl willingly went with Gonzalez-Cruz, according to police.
