SHOREWOOD, IL - Illinois Lottery officials announced that a Joliet man has captured a $4 million prize by buying the winning ticket at the Speedway gas station in Shorewood. Charles Dickhaut won $4 million by scratching off the winning numbers in the game called 100X The Money. “I still can’t believe it,” Dickhaut said in a press release. Illinois Lottery representatives indicated that Dickhaut intends to remain at his full-time job. The money will be used to pay off his home while the rest will be used for investments, the lottery declared.

According to lottery officials, "Dickhaut bought a few 100X The Money tickets while buying diapers for his newborn at Speedway, in the 900 block of Brook Forest Avenue in Shorewood."

Speedway also reaps the benefits of selling the lucky Illinois lottery ticket. The operators of the Shorewood Speedway will receive a $40,000 bonus, which is 1 percent of the prize amount. According to the lottery, the 100X The Money is a $20 instant ticket that features eight top prizes of $4 million.
