JTHS Faculty Honored for Achieving Tenure

Twenty-three Joliet Township High School faculty members were recognized at the August 20 Board of Education meeting for achieving tenure status.  JTHS non-tenured faculty undergo a rigorous four-year process where they are observed and evaluated continuously.  The four-year process allows time to gain teaching experience and allows for participation in educational activities and committees outside of the classroom.

Joliet Township High School faculty receiving tenure are: John Barber, Brett Boyter, Ashlee Catalani, Britt Charley, Shelley Clark, Meghan Culp, Erin Douglas, Natalie Eich, Lisa Fike, Douglas Fowler, Megan Guinea, Carolyn Hipp, Zachary Knott, Brian Koehne, Christopher McGuffey, Peter Nackovic, Michael O’Malley, Michael O’Shea, Jennifer Pryor, Anthony Romanelli, Erica Senffner, Lauren VonHolst, and Tracy Ward.

“At JTHS our teacher evaluation process is extensive,” said Karla Guseman, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction.  “We have high expectations for our teachers, which the teachers recognized tonight have met.  JTHS is proud that these teachers have chosen to make JTHS their home.”
