Knife-Wielding Wendy's Robber Nabbed: Cops

The Plainfield man stuck up the Wendy's on Center Street with a knife but didn't get any cash, police said.

A Plainfield man who menaced a Wendy’s manager with a knife he pulled from his sleeve was captured and jailed Friday.

Nicholas Tucker, 28, was charged with sticking up the Center Street Wendy’s Wednesday afternoon.

Tucker pulled a knife from his sleeve and demanded money from the manager, police said. The manager reportedly screamed, told Tucker she had no cash and threatened to call the cops.

Tucker then left empty-handed but was caught on surveillance video making his exit.

“He may as well have stopped and posed,” a police source said of the surveillance footage, which even shows the cross tattoo on Tucker’s cheek.
