Live and Learn Shorewood Rewind
We made a mistake we're not going to make again.
A couple weekends ago we strayed from Shorewood and headed east to check out the Frankfort Fall Festival in Frankfort.
We're not going to make that mistake again.
Well, it wasn't terrible, but it certainly wasn't Shorewood either. The Shorewood Crossroads Festival has it all over the Frankfort Fall Festival, just like Shorewood has it all over Frankfort, and everywhere else for that matter.

MondayCounty Line crash
A rust-colored, cube-shaped car reportedly pulled out in front of a motorcycle, stopped briefly, watched the bike go down, then sped off. The motorcyclist emerged from the wreck at the intersection of County Line Road and Route 52 with non-life threatening injuries.

Roman roamin'
During a village board meeting, Mayor Rick Chapman said a wistful goodbye to outgoing Economic Development Director Nancy Roman, as Roman had recently married a man from Texas and was moving down there to live with him. But wait a minute — moving to Texas or not, Roman is still going to be able to work as the economic development in New Lenox, which is the same town former Shorewood Village Administrator Kurt Carroll took a job with after baling on the Wood. Who's New Lenox taking next? We'll just have to wait and find out.
Tuesday tooJoliet takes Shorewood's sewage, money
At the same village board meeting, trustees approved a measure to pay Joliet to take Shorewood's sewage.
Slammers dig hole
The Slammers dropped the opening game of the Frontier League championship series, losing 8-5 to the River City Rascals.
