Love Boat Cruise Party with the Sandi Haynes Quartet at the Timbers

The Sandi Haynes Quartet will lead a “Love Boat Cruise Party” at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, at the Timbers of Shorewood retirement community, 1100 N. River Road. The public is invited to enjoy a final day of summer, cruise-ship style. Attendees are encouraged to wear their most festive island clothing.

The night will kick off with the “Love Boat” theme song and a welcome from the cruise director. Islands jams and classics like “Margaritaville” will set a festive mood.

In addition to live music, guests will learn dances like the meringue, the rumba and line dancing. Everyone can participate in group activities like the limbo or a group sing-off, and there will be a contest for best dressed.

The Quartet is made up of Sandi Haynes, vocalist, flutist and cruise director; Jose Valdes, keyboard player; Bob Ferraris on the bass and vocals; and Steve Hawk on the drums.

The Timbers of Shorewood is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Residents, whose needs may change, are able to stay in the same place and receive appropriate care.
