To be more accessible to her constituents, state Rep. Natalie Manley, D-Joliet, is inviting residents to a “Coffee and Conversation” meeting on from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17 from 9:00-10:00 am at the McDonald’s located at 675 N. Weber Road in Romeoville.

“The purpose of this event is to offer my constituents the opportunity to speak with me and discuss the issues that are most important to them,” said Manley. “With the beginning of a new General Assembly, people have a lot of different questions. I am looking forward to great conversation, listening to the concerns that the people in my district might have, and answering their questions. Before voting on any legislation, I need to be aware of how people feel about the issues and how it will affect the district overall.”

Along with hosting her “Coffee and Conversation” meetings, Manley offers evening and weekend appointments at her district office along with satellite office hours for those living in several of the retirement communities.

“It is difficult for some people to get to my office, especially during the winter,” Manley added. “With that in mind, I want to provide them with the opportunity to be heard by bringing my office to them. I appreciate and enjoy when residents take the time to sit down to talk with me, and I encourage everyone to stop by whenever they can.”
