Manley to Host Working Women's Advisory Commitee

Women are encouraged to attend to learn more about how they can be involved in mentoring girls, and to share their perspective and ideas on the future of women's rights.

State Rep. Natalie Manley, D-Joliet, will hold a Working Women’s Advisory Committee meeting on Wednesday March 12, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Brunswick Zone, located at 735 Center Blvd. in Romeoville. 

“I look forward to continuing our previous dialogue on how we can support more women in the business, government and service sectors, while discussing our challenges and successes in our chosen fields,” Manley said.

Manley’s Working Women’s Advisory Committee meeting is open to all women in the 98th District. The meeting will include a presentation by Lisa Las, of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Will and Grundy Counties. Women are encouraged to attend to learn more about how they can be involved in mentoring girls, and to share their perspective and ideas on the future of women’s rights.

“March is Women’s History Month, so in addition to learning more about how we can mentor young girls, I look forward to collaborating on ways we can make improvements for more women in our community,” Manley said. “I am committed to fighting for equality, including supporting fair pay and equal opportunity, and look forward to hearing feedback from my committee on additional proposals before the House.”
