And it's been quite a year

To this we all shed some tears

 

Old came down and closed doors

But we still have places to eat

 

Machines keep moving dirt and burning up fuel

Although with a much slower beat

 

Though we have had a year that wasn't our best,

We should look on it as only a test

 

For is strong and a great place to live

For this I will always attest

 

Happy New Year to you, my family, friends, and neighbors,

Because it's you, not the place, that makes Shorewood the best!
