NuMark Credit Union Collects Food & Funds for Northern Illinois Food Bank
In total all five NuMark Credit Union locations collected over 1,000 pounds of food items and over $2,000 in cash donations.

Joliet, IL, January 2017 – Normally NuMark Credit Union is a place to bring your cash or checks to make a deposit but in December members brought in canned food and other non-perishable items in addition to cash donations to benefit Northern Illinois Food Bank. In total all five NuMark Credit Union locations collected over 1,000 pounds of food items and over $2,000 in cash donations for the Northern Illinois Food Bank.
“The members were very excited to help such a good cause,” said Tina Oberlin, NuMark Credit Union Crest Hill Office Teller Supervisor. All five NuMark Credit Union locations accepted donations the first two weeks of December. With their donations staff members built towers of food and displayed them for members to see. A couple offices made Christmas Trees from canned goods. One branch made a Chicago Cubs logo while another location made a tower similar to the Willis Tower in Chicago. “Members loved to see that we made a Christmas tree with our donated food. It helped bring even more awareness to the cause,” said Oberlin. Visit NuMark Credit Union’s Facebook Page for pictures of food structures from all the NuMark Credit Union locations.
NuMark Credit Union has teamed up with Northern Illinois Food Bank to help them raise money to open a new facility in Will County. Currently, the closest center is located in Geneva.
