NuMark Credit Union to hold Fundraising Event for Northern Illinois Food Bank

Joliet, IL, June 2017 – NuMark Credit Union invites the community to attend their “Slice of the Pie” Fundraising Event at “Pizza for U” located at 116 S. Larkin Avenue in Joliet. Have dinner with NuMark on Tuesday, June 20th from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and 20% of dine-in sales will be donated to Northern Illinois Food Bank.

“We are so thrilled to be having this event at Pizza for U to raise money for Northern Illinois Food Bank’s Will County Facility,” said Linda Krakora, NuMark Credit Union Charity Organizer.

In 2016 the Northern Illinois Food Bank helped to support 55 Food Banks just in Will County and provided 9.5 million meals which is an astounding number until you realize that this was only 81% of the meals needed to feed those who are at risk. The Northern Illinois Food Bank is working to provide all of the 11,625,500 meals needed.

NuMark Credit Union is joining forces with other local credit unions in the “Unite to End Hunger” campaign to raise money for Northern Illinois Food Bank. Money raised at this event will benefit their new facility that will be located in Will County. Currently the closest facility is in Geneva. By opening a facility in Will County, the Northern Illinois Food Bank will be able to provide good nutritious food more efficiently to both the Will and Kankakee Counties. We encourage you to bring your friends and bring your family,” said Krakora.
