Charles C. Clark
Charles “Curt” Clark, passed away at the age of 89 on Monday, August 3, 2026, at the Citadel of Kankakee.He was born in Whitesville, KY on February 24, 1937, the son of the late Cosmas and Helen Clark.

Curt grew up in Kentucky before enlisting in the United States Army, where he served his country honorably and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. Following his military service, he built a long career as a salesman at Alexander Lumber, where he was known for his reliability, work ethic, and dedication.
A loving, handy, and selfless man, Curt gave generously of his time and talents to his community. He served for 20 years as the past President of the Planning and Zoning Commission of Channahon and also served on the Village Board of Channahon. His commitment to civic life reflected his deep care for the place he called home.

Curt remained active throughout his life, enjoying walking, bowling, and woodworking. A talented craftsman, he took pride in creating with his hands. He was also a devoted Chicago Cubs fan, faithfully cheering on his team through the seasons.
Faith was central to Curt’s life. He was a longtime active parishioner at St. Ann Catholic Church in Channahon, where he embraced his Catholic faith and remained connected to his church community.
Curt is survived by his children, Alan (Susan) Clark and Sheila (Forest) Adams; grandchildren, Lindsay (Edward Mennenga) Andrews, Scott (Michelle) Andrews, and Paul Clark; great-grandchildren, Sloane, Molly, Elijah, and Oliver; and his brothers, James (Peggy) Clark and Joseph (Mary Jane) Clark.Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
He is preceded by his wife, Eileen M. Clark; his parents; four brothers; and two sisters.
Visitation for Charles C. Clark will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, at St. Ann Catholic Church, 24500 S. Navajo Dr., Channahon, IL, at 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass at 11:00 a.m.Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park with military honors held under the auspices of the United States Army.
