Age 94, of Morris, Illinois and formerly Glen Ellyn and Wheaton, IL, passed peacefully Sunday morning, January 12, 2025. Mary was born in Wheaton, IL on September 2, 1930, the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Dieter) and John Schramer.

She is the beloved wife of Robert Flynn; loving mother of three daughters, Kathy
(Terry) Meyer, Christine (Jim) Schumacher, and Mary Beth Flynn; three sons, Patrick (Janet) Flynn, Timothy (the late Wendy) Flynn, and Thomas (Wilma) Flynn; devoted grandmother of 14 and proud great-grandmother of 8; dearest sister of Barbara Corbett and David (the late Peggy) Schramer. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one sister.
Mary has been a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church since she and Bob moved to Morris in 1997. Always positive and possessing a sunny disposition and warm smile, she very much enjoyed her role as a volunteer outpatient greeter at Morris Hospital. As a former parishioner of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Wheaton, she was an active member and past President of the CCW.
Visitation for Mary will be Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 (at Deerpath Drive) Morris. A Mass of Christina Burial will follow at 12:00 Noon at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 600 E. Jackson Street in Morris.
As it was Mary's request, cremation rites will be accorded following Mass and her final earthly remains will be interred at Mt. Carmel cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name can be made to the Priests of the Sacred Heart, 6889 S. Lovers Lane Road, Hales Corners, WI 53130.
