Pace Hosts Ventra Outreach Events in Will County

As of July 1, Pace and the CTA will complete the transition to Ventra. To help customers prepare for the transition, Pace is holding nearly 40 events around the region at which staff will distribute Ventra Cards and information to customers, including a May 27 event in Joliet.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Pace reps will be at Walmart, 2424 W. Jefferson St., to assist customers with transitioning to Ventra at these events to help them save money while enjoying Ventra’s convenience and security features — such as balance protection in the event of a lost or stolen card. 

Because the existing fare systems will be decommissioned on July 1, Pace will no longer be able to issue Transfer Cards to customers who pay with cash.

• 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday May 28, at Joliet Union Station, 50 E. Jefferson St.
• 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, May 29, at Walmart, 200 S. Bolingbrook Drive, Bolingbrook
• 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 31, Louis Joliet Mall, 3340 Mall Loops Drive, Joliet
• 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 2 to 5 p.m. Monday, June 2, at Joliet Union Station, 50 E. Jefferson St.
