Plainfield Man Dies In Route 52 Crash With Semi
An autopsy is set for Tuesday, Sept. 25.

SEWARD TOWNSHIP, IL — Will County Coroner's officials announced that 44-year-old Scott Weber of Plainfield was killed Monday morning in a motor vehicle crash at U.S. 52 and Grove Road. The Illinois State Police are investigating the fatality and an autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday.
The wreck happened around 8:36 a.m., according to state police, and Weber was pronounced dead at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.
Illinois State Police said a semi-trailer was heading east on Route 52 as Weber's Audi was traveling south on Grove Road. According to police, the Audi failed to stop or yield to traffic on Route 52 and was struck by the semi-trailer in the intersection.

The driver of the semi, a 49-year-old Crest Hill man, was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Overman Jones Funeral Home in Plainfield will handle funeral arrangements for Weber. According to his obituary, Weber was a native of Elgin and is survived by two daughters, his parents, two siblings and several nieces and nephews.
