Planes, Trains and Automobiles Bound for The Timbers of Shorewood

Here's another great show at The Timbers of Shorewood.

The Flashback Cabaret will perform at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at , 1100 N. River Road. Their performance theme is “Planes, Trains, and Automobiles."

Ernie Maurizi of Naperville (Guitar & Keyboards), Wynn Kanten of Richton Park (Bass), and Dave Feltenberger of Bartlett (Piano) are the musically boundless trio of Flashback Cabaret.

A band without limits, Flahsback Cabaret prides their ability to play all genres. From Bacharach to the Beatles, from Elvis to Ellington, from Santana to Sinatra, this band’s reputation rests on their ability to please their audiences, especially seniors, with diverse and prodigious musical skills.

“I love playing for older audiences because their life experiences are reflected in the songs that we play,” said Maurizi. “They appreciate those songs and our performance. The older audience feeds off the energy and emotion that we give. The energy and emotion travels back and forth between us and them. It’s the ultimate form of communication.

The Timbers of Shorewood is a rental retirement community. The Timbers provides independent and assisted living apartments as well as a full schedule of activities and services. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay — a weekend, a week, a month or longer.
