Retail Theft, Obstructing Justice: Shorewood Blotter
Incidents occurred between Jan. 30 and Feb. 10.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Jan. 30
John E. Quintanilla, 20, of the 2100 block of Waterbury Dr. in Joliet, was charged with possession of cannabis, possession of drug equipment, driving while license suspended, no insurance and speeding. The incident occurred at Vertin Blvd. and Breckenridge Ln.
Feb. 2
Kevin Chhay, 30, of the 1100 block of Jerald Dr. in Joliet, was charged with possession of cannabis, speeding, no valid registration and no seatbelt. The incident occurred at Mary St. and Jefferson St.
Feb. 4
Tracy G. Paschen, 35, of the 1000 block of Mayfield Ln. in Hoffman Estates, was charged with retail theft and possession of drug equipment. Police say he was arrested for stealing smoke detectors. The incident occurred at the Target, located at 1111 Brookforest Ave.
Jacob Guerrero, 29, of the 1500 block of S. 60th Ct. in Chicago, was charged with obstructing justice. Police say his vehicle was stopped because his passenger had stolen items. The incident occurred at the Target located at 1111 Brookforest Ave.
Feb. 5
Samuel A. Hunnicutt, 19, of the 500 block of Silver Leaf Dr. in Joliet, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and improper lane usage. The incident occurred at Black Rd. and NE Frontage Rd.
Feb. 6
Elliot J. Miller, of the 600 block of Timberline Dr. in Joliet, was charged with hit and run and improper lane usage. The incident occurred at NE Frontage Rd. and Jefferson St.
Karen L. Lawrence, 42, of the 100 block of Honors Dr. in Shorewood, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis, possession of drug equipment, driving under the influence and speeding.
Feb. 10
Wilfredo Cardenas, 26, of the 7700 block of Boxwood Ln. in Plainfield, was charged with resisting/obstructing a peace officer, possession of drug equipment, illegal transportation of alcohol, no valid driver’s license and improper lane usage. The incident occurred at Black Rd. and Shorewood Dr.
