$2 Million Powerball Ticket Sold In Joliet
Illinois Lottery officials urge the lucky winner to immediately sign the back of your ticket and keep it in a safe place.

JOLIET, IL - Wednesday night's Powerball drawing has a winner in Joliet. Lottery officials announced on Thursday that a $2 million winning ticket came from a Joliet store, Highland Liquors, in the 1600 block of East Cass Street. The Powerball winners were 6-7-16-23-26 and the PowerPlay number was 4.
The winner matched five of the six numbers, plus the PowerPlay number. Highland Liquors will receive a bonus of $20,000, or 1 percent, of the winning prize for selling the winning Powerball ticket.
The lucky winner is urged to keep their ticket in a safe place until they can visit one of the lottery's five Prize Centers, Chicago, Des Plaines, Rockford, Springfield or Fairview Heights. Winners have one year from the time of the drawing to claim their prize.
