Today Is Shorewood's Oktoberfest At Cene's Four Seasons Park
Signs in the Shorewood-Joliet-Plainfield area remind people to visit Cene's Four Seasons Park for Saturday's German party.
SHOREWOOD, IL - This weekend marks another big community festival here in the village of Shorewood. It's Oktoberfest time at Cene's Four Seasons Park along Seil Road. Saturday's festivities begin at 4 p.m. and wind down at 11:30 p.m. There is no admission charge to attend Shorewood's Oktoberfest. The event includes a variety of German ethnic foods, polka music and masskruegstemmen (beer stein-holding) contests. Saturday's entertainment will feature Ed Wagner's Brass Band from 4 to 8 p.m. followed by the Lounge Puppets from 9 to 11:30 p.m.
Families are welcome to attend from 4 to 8 p.m. but everyone must be at least 21 years old after 8 p.m.
Saturday's Shorewood Oktoberfest is being presented by Christopher B. Burke Engineering.
