Savarino's Pizza: 'A Lot Of People Get The Extra Thin Crust'
Savarino's Pizza in Shorewood serves pizza, pasta, ribs and broasted chicken with family recipes. It's located at 1134 West Jefferson St.
SHOREWOOD, IL — The name of the restaurant is Savarino's Pizza, but local customers are about evenly split on why they prefer to order food here. While many people like the pizza, Savarino's Pizza is also known for its broasted chicken, according to Savarino's manager Cesar Aguilar.
"It's about half-and-half," Aguilar said, on whether the broasted chicken or its pizzas are most popular with the customer base.
Pizza is available in regular crust, extra thin and double dough.

"A lot of people get the extra thin crust," Aguilar remarked.
As far as the broasted chicken, "that's always something we've had here," Aguilar said. "The broasted chicken is on a timer. It only takes 10 minutes to cook."

Aguilar said that the family meal specials are popular with Savarino's customers. The Shorewood restaurant also has a strong social media following. The Savarino's Pizza Facebook page has 2,702 followers and 2,670 likes.
According to Google Reviews, Savarino's Pizza has 165 reviews, averaging 4.3 stars out of 5 stars.

It offers dine-in, takeout and delivery. Savarino's is open from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 2 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
