Second Man Jailed in Connection With Braidwood Park Robbery

A second man was charged with robbing a couple at knifepoint.

A Second man was jailed in connection with a knifepoint robbery in a Braidwood park.

Bruce J. Knight, 19, of Wilmington was apprehended and jailed early Wednesday.

The night before, Demonte X. Garrison, 21, of Joliet was captured.

Garrison and Knight accosted a couple in Old Smokey City Park about 9 p.m. on May 31, police said.

Garrison and Knight demanded the couple’s money, police said, and when the male-half refused, one of the two crooks pulled a knife. The man reportedly surrendered his jewelry and the Garrison and Knight fled.
