Sen. Bertino-Tarrant To Host Town Hall, April 9

State Bertino-Tarrant is hosting a town hall meeting in Plainfield on April 9 to hear residents' thoughts on state issues.

Senator Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant (D-Shorewood) will be holding a town hall meeting to discuss legislative issues from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 9. The meeting will be held at the Plainfield Fire Protection District at 23748 W. 135th Street, Plainfield.

With the regular legislative session taking place, Senator Bertino-Tarrant (49th District) is interested in meeting with residents to discuss legislation that is being debated before the General Assembly and any other concerns they may have.

“The Capitol is a busy place right now and hundreds of pieces of legislation are being considered,” Bertino-Tarrant said. “I want to give residents an opportunity to ask questions on topics important to them.”

Senator Bertino-Tarrant also hopes to discuss the governor’s proposed budget. The state senator wants members of the community to weigh in on state budgetary issues.

“If members of the community are willing to take time out of their day to attend a town hall meeting, I want it to be an informative and positive experience,” Bertino-Tarrant said.

The town hall meeting is open to the public. Senator Bertino-Tarrant encourages anyone with questions or concerns to join her for a candid conversation about state and local government issues.

The Illinois 49th Senate District includes all or portions of Plainfield, Joliet, Bolingbrook, Romeoville, Shorewood, Oswego, Crest Hill, Boulder Hill, Naperville, Montgomery, Aurora and Channahon
