Senior Living Community Donates $5,000 To Alzheimer's Association

The Timbers of Shorewood donated $5,000 to the Alzheimer's Association Illinois Chapter as part of #GivingTuesday. The money was raised during multiple events and fundraisers throughout the year.

"We are proud to support the Alzheimer's Association with this donation," said Kevin Young, executive director of the Timbers of Shorewood. “Our events and fundraising were extremely successful this year. To date, The Timbers of Shorewood has donated more than $25,000 to the Alzheimer's Association.”

The Timbers of Shorewood is a rental retirement community that provides senior living and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Residents whose needs may change are able to stay in the same place and receive appropriate and compassionate care. Furnished apartments are also available for short-term stays.
