Seniors Enjoy A ‘Sweet’ Time At Timbers' Candy Land Prom
Senior citizens danced the night away at the Timbers of Shorewood's Senior Prom titled "Candy Land" on Friday.

More than 150 people attended the annual Seniors’ Senior Prom titled, “Candy Land" on Friday, June 21, at The Timbers of Shorewood retirement community, 1100 N. River Rd., Shorewood.
A highlight of the prom was the crowning of the 2019 king and queen - Joseph Wright and Josephine Ardizzone. Each year the king and queen are elected by the residents. A special dance took place featuring all the kings and queens, past and present.
“The Timbers’ senior prom was a huge success, a true highlight of the year for many older adults in the area,” said Kevin Young, general manager of the Timbers. “A lot of high school volunteers attended and encouraged the seniors to get on the dance floor.”
