Shorewood to Hold Fireworks on the Hill

While Shorewood won’t be setting off its own fireworks until the Crossroads Festival August 8, people are encouraged to go to the city’s Fireworks on the Hill event July 4 at Cene’s Four Seasons Park Sledding Hill.

From the hill people will be able to get a view of the fireworks display from Joliet and Channahon. The fireworks are expected to go off at around 9 p.m.

“It’s a great place to see everyone else’s fireworks,” said Denise Schmidt, Shorewood’s Parks, Business and Recreation Planner.

People are encouraged to bring their own picnic baskets, blankets and chairs.
