Shorewood Home Invasion At Mobile Home Park: Domestic Abuser Sought
Shorewood police obtained an arrest warrant for Joliet resident Daniel Angel Marin. He comes from the 600 block of North Broadway Street.

SHOREWOOD, IL — The Shorewood Police Department has obtained a warrant to arrest 26-year-old Joliet resident Daniel Angel Marin of North Broadway Street in connection with a violent attack upon a woman who lives in Shorewood's mobile home park along Route 52.
A bench warrant signed by a Will County judge indicates Marin has been charged with home invasion, residential burglary, criminal trespass and two counts of domestic battery. On Wednesday, the judge set Marin's bail at $50,000.
As of 4 p.m. Thursday, the Joliet man had not been captured by police.

Marin was previously convicted of committing domestic battery in neighboring Grundy County back in 2020. According to Marin's latest criminal complaint, the home invasion happened May 12 in Shorewood.
Marin is accused of injuring the Shorewood woman at the Imperial Mobile Home Park at 106 East Jefferson Street, and Marin is accused of "knowingly and without authority" having "entered the dwelling place of another ... with the intent to commit ... a felony," the complaint noted.

The convicted domestic abuser struck the Shorewood woman in the face on May 12, court records show.
Will County Jail records indicate Marin was detained in late January after Plainfield police arrested him in connection with an October 2022 domestic battery charge. In that case, bail was set at $25,000, and the Broadway Street resident posted bond the day after his arrest.
