Shorewood House Goes Up Flames In Country West Subdivision

Wednesday's fire broke out in the subdivision off River Road around 7:30 p.m. prompting Troy to summon help from area fire departments.

SHOREWOOD, IL —On one of the hottest days of the summer, the Troy Fire Protection District received help from area fire departments including Plainfield, Channahon, Minooka, East Joliet, Joliet, Rockdale and Romeoville in extinguishing a house at 308 Greenfield Road that went up in flames. Wednesday's fire happened around 7:30 p.m.

According to the Chicagoland Fireground Scanner Facebook site, there was a heavy fire on the first floor of the house when the emergency was reported. The house is in the Country West subdivision along River West north of Route 52.
