SHOREWOOD, IL — When the police officers and paramedics receive a call for service, they work under the premise that the call is authentic. This week, a 62-year-old Shorewood man finds himself facing two felonies in connection with allegations that he made false calls to authorities back on Oct. 30.

The Will County State's Attorney's Office of Jim Glasgow has charged Christopher Rademacher with two counts of disorderly conduct. The complaint indicates that Rademacher "knowingly caused to be transmitted by telephone to the Troy Fire Protection District a false request for an ambulance to be sent to (the 900 block of) South Raven Road, Shorewood, while knowing at the time that there was no reasonable ground for believing that such assistance was required."

In addition to that charge, Rademacher faces a second disorderly conduct offense. According to that complaint, Rademacher transmitted to Tina Heck, a public employee, a report to the effect that an offense had been committed, a battery, knowing at the time that there was no reasonable ground for believing the offense had been committed.
