Shorewood Man Taken To Will County Jail Following His Arrest By Shorewood Police After Super Bowl
After refusing to speak with officers and officers observing a red mark on the victim's face, Mark Kafka was arrested for domestic battery.

SHOREWOOD, IL — If you heard the sirens on Sunday night, shortly after the Super Bowl game ended, the Shorewood Police Department was out making an arrest, taking 54-year-old Mark Kafka into custody, bringing him to the Will County Jail, on charges of domestic battery.
The incident happened at 10:51 p.m. and it was at Kafka's house in the 1200 block of Wales Court.
According to the police department's arrest summary, the officers were dispatched to the residence in reference to a domestic battery. When officers arrived, they spoke with the victim who said an argument ensued, leading to Kafka smacking the victim with the backside of his hand.

After refusing to speak with officers and officers observing a red mark on the victim’s face, Kafka was placed under arrest for domestic battery.
As of Monday afternoon, Kafka remained in the Will County Jail.
