From all of us at the Shorewood Patch to all of you in Shorewood, have a safe and happy Halloween.

Children of , you only have two hours to enjoy trick-or-treating this year, so make the most of it.

But while you're running from house to house and collecting as much candy as you can in that utterly brief amount of time, keep a sharp eye out for cars.

Mayor Rick Chapman also advised motorists to stay on the lookout for children, especially after dark. The mayor also said it was a good idea to slow it down a bit when driving around on Halloween.

Chapman noted that there will be a strong presence on Halloween, so even if the evening is scary, it should still be safe.
