The Shorewood sergeant gave no indication that the driver of the sports utility vehicle was injured in the crash. That vehicle's air-bag deployed after the SUV came to a rest at the corner of the intersection.
Patch noticed a man, possibly the SUV's driver, walking over to give a statement to the Illinois State Police trooper after the officer arrived about 20 to 25 minutes afterward.
