Shorewood Police Investigate Domestic Violence, 7 Charges Filed

On Tuesday, Shorewood Police obtained an arrest warrant to take Jeremy Minge, age 31, into custody. Minge lives in South Holland.

SHOREWOOD — Will County Judge Amy Christiansen has signed a bench warrant authorizing the Shorewood Police Department to arrest 31-year-old South Holland resident Jeremy Minge on charges of unlawful restraint, four counts of domestic battery and one cont of interfering with the reporting of domestic violence and one count of theft.

The incident leading to the seven charges in Shorewood happened on Oct. 7.

Minge is accused of detaining someone who is considered a minor inside Room 135 at the EconoLodge along NE Frontage Road.

Minge grabbed his victim by their arm, he pushed his victim about their body, struck the victim on the head, grabbed the victim by their hair and took the victim's phone from her "with the intent to deprive the owner permanently of the use or benefit of said property," according to the complaint. The arrest warrant indicates that Minge will be held without release and brought before the Will County courts for pretrial detention or conditions of release hearing.
