This week was so wonderful we wish we could live through it again. Let's do the next best thing with the Shorewood Rewind.

Shorewood is the greatest place on earth.

It's true and you know it, so there's no sense in arguing. There is nowhere better than Shorewood.

Still, for as irrefutably fantastic as Shorewood is universally recognized to be, every once in a while the most important stuff happens elsewhere. We know that's hard to believe but trust us, things play out that way from time to time.

DuPage sheriff won't talk about case his detectives can't solve

After DuPage County Sheriff John Zaruba to let the sister of a missing St. Charles man see what his detectives have been up to for the last four years, she the Illinois Attorney General's Office for help. The sister, Stephanie McNeil, is still waiting to see if she will get that help. McNeil is also waiting for Zaruba to respond to the letters she says she sent him. Zaruba didn't call us back either.

Motorcycle man hurt in wreck

A pickup truck turned left in front of a motorcycle on Route 59, touching off a that left the man on the motorcycle injured. He was taken to Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

Drew Peterson locked up for two years

The state police Drew Peterson exactly two years ago for allegedly murdering his third wife five years before. For most of those five years the state police insisted the wife, Kathleen Savio, somehow drowned in a freak bathtub accident. The state police are also looking for Peterson's fourth wife, Stacy Peterson, who vanished in October 2007. They can't seem to find her or to charge Peterson — whom they have named the sole suspect in Stacy's disappearance — with doing anything to harm her. Peterson is waiting on the start of his murder trial. The case is in limbo while a critical appellate court decision remains pending.

Racing for his first time on dirt, Animal Kingdom with John Velazquez up took the Kentucky Derby, paying $43.80. We didn't have him.
