Shorewood Trick-Or-Treaters Bound By 2-Hour Limit

trick-or-treaters have only two hours to grab all the candy they can on the scariest night of the year.

Mayor Rick Chapman announced during Tuesday night's village board meeting that the official Shorewood trick-or-treating hours will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday.

The penalties for after-hours trick-or-treating were not discussed.

Shorewood is particularly stingy in doling out legal trick-or-treating hours, as nearly every other nearby town gives children at least another hour, and in the case of Orland Park, three hours of additional time.

Joliet is only giving youngsters a half-hour more Halloween fun than Shorewood.
